Undergraduate Students
For non-local students, the composition fee for the
2008-2009 intake will be HK$100,000 per year (approximately
US$12,820) throughout the period of undergraduate studies.
General expenses in Hong Kong cost around HK$75,000
(approximately US$9,700) for one year, excluding composition
fee.
Taught Postgraduate Students The tuition fee for
non-local students reading fully government-funded programmes
for the academic year 2006- 2007 will be HK$70,000 (approximately
US$9,000). The fees of self-funded programmes are generally
set at higher level and interested applicants may consult
individual departments or faculties at the time of application.
MPhil and PhD Research Postgraduate Students The
tuition fee for non-local students for the academic
year 2005-2006 is HK $ 42,100. For the academic year
2006-2007, the amount is not yet fixed but we do not
expect it to vary much from the current fee level.
A.
Students from high schools:
At least 12 years of pre-university schooling on a full-time
basis; Senior secondary school-leaving certificate
(e.g. Inmungye KodBng (Senior High School Diploma))
fulfilling the minimum high school graduation requirement; A combined score of not less than 1100 in old SAT I
plus at least 550 in SAT II English Writing or a total
score of not less than 1650 in new SAT I with a sub-score
on essay of not less than 8; and A score of not less than 600
in at least 2 SAT II subjects including Mathematics.
B. Students studying at university:
Successful completion of one year's study on a bachelor's
degree programme at a recognised university in South
Korea; and Fulfilment of the English language requirement
by obtaining one of the following: A score of 550 or better in
the paper-based TOEFL (213 for computer-based, 80 for
internet-based); or A minimum overall band of 7
in IELTS; or A combined score of not less than 1100
in old SAT I plus at least 550 in SAT II English Writing
or a total score of not less than 1650 in new SAT I
with a sub-score on essay of not less than 8.
C. International Baccalaureate
(IB) Diploma
An International Baccalaureate Diploma with grade
4 or better in the Higher Level English Language (B
Syllabus); or grade 5 or better in the Standard Level
English Language (B Syllabus); or grade 4 or better
in the Higher or Standard Level English Language (A1
or A2 Syllabus); orgrade 4 or better in the Standard
Level English - Text and Performance.

2008. Some of our undergraduate programmes may accept
late applications with an additional charge of the application
fee (i.e. HK$500 for online applications and HK$1,000
for paper applications). Since priority is given to
processing applications received on time, very limited
places would be available for late admission and only
those applicants with exceptionally outstanding results
would be considered. Potential applicants are therefore
strongly advised to submit their applications before
the deadline of January 31, 2008.
